He has legally changed his name at the time of his marriage in the late 1970s. Though he started playing poker since his childhood, it wasn't his first passion but rather he wanted to become a professional snooker player. He has the dedication, but couldn’t have the talent to play at the top level. However, all that was changed when he started playing more poker. He has 3 children and is fond of jazz music. He leads a tranquil life in London. When he's off from poker, he spends much of his time with his family and reading books.

Poker Career:

Born in Persia, Ben moved to London in his teenage and started playing poker. One day he was sitting with his friend, and one of them took him to the poker club. He was hooked on seeing the first deal, which has never allowed him to go. Since then, he's honed his skills and started playing all across Europe by developing some good skills on all the No-Limit and Pot-Limit games.
In 2001, Ben has made it to the final table of the World Series of Poker $3000 Pot-Limit Hold 'em. He also made it to the final table at the 2004 Grand Prix $10000 No-Limit Hold 'em tournament in Pairs, and the Five Diamond Poker Classic, $3000 No-Limit Hold 'em tournament at the 2005. In 2006, Ben also cashed in the Pot Limit Omaha and Short-Handed No Limit Hold 'em events at the World Series of Poker.
