Surinder, a resident of London, first came to England from India when he was 7. He was extremely close with his grandfather, Shiv Singh. Surinder can be shown as illustration of a professional player who has given it everything for the sake of poker and applied them at the table to achieve success. His endurance, concentration, durability and dedication to the game can be challenged only by the best.

Surinder, a European Poker Legend, is a member of the European Poker Hall of Fame. He is known for his karate skills, where he holds a black belt which he credits with assisting his ability to concentrate through the often brutal, long hours of tournament play.

Poker Career:

Surinder Sunar is an English professional poker player from U.K. He first gained reputation when he became 2-time finalist (seasons 1 and 5) at Late Night Poker television series. He was also the winner at the season 3 World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris event, defeating Tony G in the heads-up tournament and won  €679,000 grand prize. This victory in Paris was a rare first place finish for Sunar, but not the first time this pro has finished in the money. To date, he has finished in the money at World Series of Poker tournaments 21 times, as well as dozens of other money finishes in other events.

Surinder Sunar has been reckoned as one of the best and top players on the European poker scene. He finished 2nd in the USPC event of 1996 and won the Pot-Limit Hold'em event at the 1998 Carnivale of Poker. He once opined that he might not participate in many more events further since it needs rigorous concentration.”
