Omaha Poker

Introduction

Omaha is a game which is quite similar to Texas Holdem, when it comes to using a three-card flop on the board, a fourth boardcard, and then a fifth boardcard. Here, every player is dealt with four holecards against two in the beginning. So for making a hand, a player needs to use specifically two holecards with three board cards and the betting procedure is quite the same as in the case of Texas Hold'em. At the showdown, the entire four-card hand should be shown to receive the pot.
In Omaha, a player would receive four hole cards, and the cards that the other players cannot view. Then, consecutively during the hand, five cards are dealt face up on the board, known as community cards. These community cards can be used by all the players to put together a five card poker hand. When all cards are out, you must use two of your hole cards and combine them with three community cards in order to form the best possible poker hand.
Both Omaha and Texas Hold’em games are almost played the same way, with the exception that in Omaha, instead of two pocket cards face down, each player starts with four, and at the showdown players must use two (only two) of their four cards in combination with three (only three) of the community cards to create the best five-card hand.
