Poker Etiquettes
The foremost concern for any player would be the ambiance and atmosphere at the casino. So, it’s important for the casino to create the feel and settings of an excellent casino. For this purpose, there are some reasonable guidelines regarding the acceptable behavior, which are nothing but Poker Etiquettes.
These etiquettes are not exactly the strategies, but somehow add value to your table image - a significant part of your poker strategy is to attain the respect of your fellow players and it’s good to have a positive table image.
Poker etiquettes are indispensable since its violation may result in closure of the account, blacklisting, etc. Let’s peruse some of the essential poker etiquettes:
- Maintain your cards on the table at all times.
- It’s always advisable to chat at the tables in English only, and right not to discuss regarding a hand when it is still being played.
- Better refrain from offensive words or any such type, or else you could finally end up loosing your chat facility (blocked). Also, avoid using pet names which are offensive.
- If you want to mute all the players - you don’t want to listen? Then you can do that by simply placing the cursor over player’s head and click. You would then get a message in the text window that the player has been muted.
- Few Poker Players are attempting to enhance their play-money ranking by allowing a partner raise to the highest possible extent in every round, and later give the pot to the other player by folding. We strongly advice against such behaviour, as it is unfair to the other players on the top list. It takes no time to detect such acts - ascribable to activity logging at the tables. This might also lead to permanent blacklisting.
- It is advisable not to create more than one player account / person. If so, all the multiple accounts will be blocked created by the player except the original one.
- Do not swear or use any foul language, when playing in a poker tournament. Be very selective and careful with the choice of words at the table.
- Always try to play at a fairly quick pace, and do not keep other waiting by playing a waiting game and wait for your turn to act or place a bet.
- Arrange your chips in a tidy manner and place them (rather than throwing them) into the pot. Don’t make a mess because it prevents others from being able to calculate the amount of money in the pot.
- Avoid commenting on other’s hands while at the table for evading unfair gestures.
- Players, who purposely cheat, distract or credit dump are permanently debarred.
